WILD IMAGINING

WHERE DURHAM IMAGINES TOGETHER IN PARKS, PATHS AND GREEN SPACES

Rooted in parks, river paths, allotments, and natural landmarks, Wild Imagining is where creativity meets community, and where shared ideas take root in the landscapes, we call home.

Communities are co-designing projects that reflect their stories, local creatives are thriving with real commissions, and culture-led wellbeing initiatives are flourishing. Together, we’re showing how the arts can connect people, celebrate voices, and shape greener, more vibrant places.

Wild Imagining is a creative initiative led by Creativity Works CIC in partnership with Durham County Council. Part of the pioneering PLACE Lab project, Into the Light, and funded through Arts Council England, the project invites communities across Durham City and surrounding villages to reimagine their relationship with local green spaces—through art, culture, and collective creativity.
